Mid-Atlantic (MATRC) and Northeast (NETRC) Telehealth Resource Centers

Members of the National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers (NCTRC)

Established in 2006, the Telehealth Resource Center (TRC) Program consists of 12 regional and two national telehealth resource centers, one focused on technology and the other on policy. All are funded by cooperative agreements from the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT). Both the MATRC and NETRC are regional TRCs. The MATRC based at the University of Virginia Center for Telehealth in Charlottesville, covers Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Washington, DC and central and southern New Jersey.  The NETRC based in Medical Care Development’s Public Health Division in Augusta, ME, and partnering with the University of Vermont and the UVM Health Network, covers Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and northern New Jersey. TRCs offer a wide spectrum of technical assistance and training resources and services focused on expanding the reach of healthcare and sustainable telehealth programs in local, rural, and underserved communities for the most vulnerable populations. National Coordinating Center for Regional Genetics Networks

A fundamental goal of the NCC and RGNs is to bring genetic services closer to local communities.

The National Genetics Education and Family Support Center (Family Center) works together with the National Coordinating Center (NCC) and the seven Regional Genetics Networks (RGNs) to improve the health of medically underserved by promoting the translation of genetic medicine into public health and health care services. Promoting Inclusion and Access in Education and Healthcare/Empowering Families and Young Adults Across PA

The PEAL Center is a resource for disability information and referral for parents, professionals and self-advocates. As Pennsylvania’s Parent Center (PTI) and Family-to-Family Health Information Center (F2F), PEAL provides assistance to families of children with disabilities, educators, and others who work with them.
